Nine students who participated in the 2010 Summer Research Opportunities Program have received citations honoring their scholarship.

The Exemplary Summer Research Citation is a new award based on a strategic partnership between the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), participating SROP campuses, and the University of Michigan's National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID).   

The citation represents the students' achievements and their "promise as a potential graduate student," wrote NCID Director Philip Bowman in his letter to the recipients.

Citation recipients will be listed in the NCID's National Diversity Scholarship Network.
