ACM Undergraduate Fellows

ACM Undergraduate Fellows

The Big Ten Academic Alliance and the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) were awarded

  • an $8.1 million grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
  • to establish the ACM/Big Ten Academic Alliance Mellon Undergraduate and Faculty Fellows Program for a Diverse Professoriate (Fellows Program),
  • the Fellows Program is a seven-year, three-part initiative to address barriers to faculty diversity in the humanities, humanistic social sciences, and arts, especially in the context of liberal arts colleges.
  • the Graduate School Exploration Fellowship (GSEF) is one part of the initiative that provides ACM undergraduates a home campus mentoring opportunity during their junior and senior years, and a summer research internship on the campus of a Big Ten Academic Alliance institution or the University of Chicago following their junior year.

GSEF scholars will be placed as participants in SROP programs on Big Ten Academic Alliance campuses for summer of 2020.
